honeygrow Fulton Market Menu Boards
honeygrow is a super delish restaurant based in Philly. After they set a plan to open up in Chicago, their Chief Brand Officer Jen Denis reached out to me to connect with CreativeMornings/Chicago, since they lovingly support CreativeMornings/Philadelphia already. Amazing, no? It gets better. Jen then asked me if I'd be interested in lettering their menu boards, so of course, I had to say yes an...
Break the Grid Wall Installation
Razorfish Chicago tasked its employees with developing an idea for one of the empty walls in our office. A couple of my coworkers and I came up with an idea to create an interactive yarn wall, with some accompanied lettering (also made from yarn), to reflect the ingenuity and creativity of the folks at Razorfish. Overall, I'm really happy with the way this turned out, and can't wait to see al...
Deep Dish Pizzazz!
My good friend, Sarah Bardhardt, asked me to create a poster for her upcoming Chicago-style comedy show in her hometown, so of course I had to say yes. Now I just wish it was closer so I could go!
Chicago Summers
Yeah, yeah, yeah, Chicago winters suck. I'm here for the summer.
Brown & Proud
When I originally lettered this, I designed the ampersand to be translucent and set behind the text. Since then, I've made some adjustments so that it's now suitable for printing. 🎉 I think this new ampersand fits even better. 👌🏽 Available now in my shop! ___ I take pride in being Latinx and in being a person of color, but I’d be lying if I said I’d always been a proud Latina. Growing up, ...
We're Getting Married!
@Amy Ginn and I are getting married and it's gonna be awesome. Like, pizza-for-dinner and cookies-and-milk-bar awesome.
Save the Date
Working on our Save the Dates and counting the days until I get to marry this lovely lady. 308 days to go, babe! Check out our story and the excellent video Amy made to celebrate our engagement.
Congrats on Coming Out
Coming out is hard to do, and you don't ever do it just once. Congrats to all of the lovely humans out there who are taking that leap.
I'm Sorry You Had to Deal with That Racist Asshole
To all of my fellow POC. I see you, I love you and I'm sorry for all of the nonsense in the air.
Congrats on starting HRT!
My good buddy asked me to letter this for a friend, and I was so touched to be able to help them celebrate this special occasion. Congrats to all of you lovely humans who are going through a similar transition. <3
You are Fabulous
Sometimes you need a little reminder that you are indeed fabulous.
I see you. I'm here for you.
Pay attention to your struggling neighbors. Stand up for them and with them. Actively show your support and love.
No Freedom 'til We're Equal
For a friend. Seems fitting considering the ridiculousness that was the first presidential debate. There words were uttered by a white cis man regarding the LGBTQ+ community, yet here, they were designed by a queer Latina with so many additional communities at heart.
Can I say, "Hi," to your dog? Please?
Because aren't you always thinking this when you see a furry friend cross your path?
Halloween Happy Hour
Being on the Action Team at Razorfish gives me the occasional opportunity to stretch my creative legs on our office party posters. This one was for an in-office Halloween Happy Hour we had in 2014.
Beauty is not in the face; beauty is a light in the heart.
A quote by Kahlil Gibran and a poster for a friend.
If you can dream it, you can do it.
A quote by Walt Disney and a poster for a friend.
Free Street Theater
Over the past couple months, I've been working with @Joyce Lin and Erin Scheiner to give Free Street Theater in Chicago a fresh look. We are still in the process of refining our logo redesigns to share with the group, and this is the option I'm currently working with. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Flat Roof Brewing
My buddy Matthew Bush started brewing up his own beer on his roof and asked me to create a logo that pays homage to his space. Go check him out!
Take Back the Night T-shirt
T-shirts were completed and printed for the Take Back the Night/Rock Away Violence Rally! I'm happy to have been able to help out a great cause and a great organization. Thanks, YWCA for working with me on this project! Also, big thanks to my good friend Karli Johnson who connected with me to work on this project. Her passion for educating people about rape and sexual assault is the reason I ...
Take Back the Night '14 - Take Two
Finished out the design for the TBTN event.
Rock Away Violence '15 - Take Two
Final version of the logo for Rock Away Violence, this year run by EVA Alliance, a DuPage County organization dedicated to ending sexual assault, domestic violence, and child abuse.

The selection came down to this design and the one that was ultimately chosen. Full view: http://flic.kr/p/dHk1pq Unashamed is scheduled to be released at the end of January. http://youtu.be/P3ZA1CrEfhY
Unashamed: Between the Dream
Excited to be working on my buddy's second book in the Unashamed series. Still in progress, so any feedback is greatly appreciated. Check out his first book on amazon. PS: The maze is workable. View the attachment to give it a try.
